Bukit Lawang Orangutan Tour from Medan

In the morning at 06 am our English speaking driver will pick you up at your hotel in Medan to start your Bukit Lawang Orangutan One Day Tour from Medan in Bukit Lawang  jungle trekking to the hills of the Mount Leuser National Park . After 3 hours drive, arrive at Bukit Lawang Bahorok, you will go uphill for bukit lawang jungle trekking and enter the national park via the old orangutan feeding area which is still highly popular with a lot of orangutans. Afterwards you will continue your jungle trek through the rainforest to a small creek and stop there for a rest by its clear waters. Then you will hike up again and walk for about one hour, passing unforgettable scenic viewpoints overlooking the whole valley of the Bohorok River.

Around noon you will stop at an amazing hidden waterfall in the jungle where you can swim in the fresh, clear water before you are enjoying your local lunch. Afterwards you will trek for another hour and explore the magical rainforest up the hill to a fantastic view point with a lot of wild orchids around. After a short break you continue trekking upstream to the Bohorok River, always watching out for wildlife along the way. Towards the end of your jungle adventure there is even more fun! After the visit, return to your assembling point by tubbing (down the river with tube of truck) .

TREKS: We offer a wide range of treks, starting from a short “Jungle View Hike” (4-hour trek) that takes just a few hours up to our 1-day trek to bukit lawang jungle trekking “Welcome To The Jungle”. 

GROUP SIZE: All jungle treks start from our base in Bukit Lawang and are limited in size and number due to environmental issues. Our guests will explore the bukit lawang jungle trekking in a small group of up to 7 persons (Observation I + II) and up to 8 persons (4-hours hike, 1-day trek.
